"Everdene Hut - A real hidden gem!"
_____
We had the most incredible stay in one of Laverstock's shepherd’s huts. We visited during a very wet and windy weekend in December, but the wild weather just made it all the more memorable. The hut itself was extremely cosy, heating up quickly via its wood burning stove, thick duvet and comfy pillows and cushions.
Laverstock is very much a working farm, with cows and sheep all around (exactly what you'd want from a country getaway), yet the farmhouse and its immediate grounds were absolutely pristine.
Everyone we met working at the farm was incredibly friendly, whether ensuring we were ok in the windy weather, or giving us advice on local pubs to try.
This really is a hidden gem, tucked away in the AONB and perfect for exploring the surrounding countryside (walks available straight from the farm gate). We can only imagine how spectacular the place must be in the spring and summer and so we will definitely be back!

"Herdwick Hut - a Beautiful time"
_____
We had a beautiful time at Laverstock farm - in early November we were not cold, the bed was comfortable, it's a in a very lovely hilly location with lots of walks nearby, and the facilities were perfect for us - with a little shed that had a hob, table, cutlery, crockery and pans in it. Thank you very much!

" Great break in the beautiful Dorset Countryside"
_____
Great rental, everything we needed for our family's break. House was well equipped with logs for the fire, tea coffee and good wifi and modern TV. Beautiful setting on a farm with local walks and the beaches and local towns just 15min away. Would stay again.

"Herdwick Hut - Private, peaceful and fun"
_____
Booked three nights and stayed for four I enjoyed it so much. The farm is in a beautiful setting of rolling hills, pasture and cornfields.
The Herdwick hut is tucked away down a long tree lined path giving plenty of privacy, peace and quiet.
Everything in and around the hut was was super clean and high quality. It was fun to cook outdoors, light the fire pit, watch squirrels burying acorns in the mornings, hear the owls at dusk and explore the footpaths and bridleways from the farm.
We spent a lot of time visiting local towns, villages and beaches too - so much to see - but my favourite day was pottering at the hut, reading in the sunshine, chatting to fellow guests, Jackie the housekeeper and just enjoying being there. It’s a lovely, lovely place.
Oh and it goes without saying that sensible measures are in place whilst COVID is still with us.

"A great country break"
_____
We stayed at Laverstock cottage with our family for a week and had a great time. The farm is in a beautiful setting in the countryside, really close to Bridport for shops and restaurants and a short trip to beaches on the coast. Our two year old loved going to see the chickens, pigs, sheep and cows on the farm. The cottage was a really nice place to stay, when the weather was good we had a great time BBQing in the garden. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a relaxing break in the countryside.

"Thank you for a lovely holiday."
_____
Spotless cottage with gorgeous view of a pretty little valley. Calves paraded outside our kitchen window at breakfast. Cottage was very comfortable with a new kitchen & baths in excellent condition. Convenient to many beautiful places to walk on the coast. Wish we could have stayed longer. (We visited late July 2020 & felt the standard of cleanliness was very high for post-lockdown. All sensible extra precautions were taken).”

"Gorgeous weekend getaway!"
_____
We stayed in the Everdene shepherds hut and it was absolutely gorgeous, even better than the pictures! The little touches were really appreciated like the flowers on the table, fresh eggs from the farm and marshmallows (which we really enjoyed toasting in the fire pit!) The hut is in such a beautiful location in front of the pond and we spent the evenings by the fire watching cows, fish, bats and even a deer! The bed is super comfortable and warm, the washroom is sparkly clean and the outdoor kitchen had everything we needed. Basically I couldn’t recommend this place more, and it was the perfect place to spend a romantic weekend! Thanks for having us, we’ll be back.

"Summer break in Laverstock Cottage"
_____
This was our 7th holiday at Laverstock Farm and despite the uncertainty surrounding holidays this year, it was so lovely to return to familiar surroundings.
We stayed as a family of 6 adults and 2 children in Laverstock Cottage and it was perfect as it always is. The cottage is very spacious, comfortable, clean and has everything you need, including a brand new coffee machine delivered by Ludo on our first night and a ride on pedal Tractor for Grandson Leon!
My kids (well 32 & 34 yrs old now!) love the estate and the peace and tranquility and the country walks right on the doorstep. Grandson Leon loved the hens and lambs and pigs and the fresh eggs!
We also enjoyed the large garden for pre-dinner drinks to watch the sun go down
Emma and Ludo are great hosts and we will certainly be returning each year.

"A Gem for all Seasons"
_____
We have stayed in all the stunning cottages over the years. All beautifully designed, in a stunning setting, the immaculate, high standard of cleanliness and freshness never falters. Makes you feel, you’re the only guests, who have been in the accommodation.
True testament to high standards set by owners Emma and Ludo, who are a delightful couple to meet. Their cottages are cosy, warm on our winter breaks and airy cool bright in the summer a gem for all seasons. You will leave totally relaxed, and with a feeling that all is well in the world.

"The Most Relaxing Place to go Away. "
_____
If you’re looking for the most relaxing place to go away - Laverstock is your only need. Beautiful, stunning, remote and peaceful. We have been three times now and have booked for may already. We’ve stayed in 2 different places within the farm: Admirals cottage and Granary cottage. Both amazing. So well equipped. Admirals cottage is a one bed ground floor space with a lovely bathroom and huge living/dining/kitchen area. I love Admirals cottage. Granary cottage is a 2 bed house with a lovely garden and big kitchen/diner. Lovely snug and the bedrooms and bathroom are lovely. Bridport is a small town with markets twice a week. Lyme Regis needs no mention. West bay has the best fresh fish “catch of the bay” (seasonal). All the local areas are amazing. We are moving to Bridport or very close in the next few years. Have so much love for the place and this is because of my first stay last year at Laverstock Farm, so thank you! I cannot recommend Laverstock enough and I bore people to tears with it once I’ve come back. Please visit you will not be disappointed.

"Wonderful Hosts"
_____
We decided on a Dorset break between Christmas & New Year and having booked well in advance, were lucky enough to secure a festive stay at our top favourite accommodation choice Laverstock Farm. As always Emma & Ludo were the most wonderful hosts (the wreaths on the doors and decorated trees within really did make it feel home from home!) but having only ever stayed in Spring or Summer we weren't sure if there would be enough to occupy the kids. We needn't have worried! The new Games room is superb; choose between table tennis, table football, pool or air hockey. All full size and all utterly addictive. We couldn't peel the kids away! There was also much fun to be had rambling through the woods, traversing the lake and saying hello to the new autumn lambs. A delicious home-cooked lunch at local pub The New Inn was topped off by the highlight of our stay - a picturesque walk up nearby Lewesdon Hill (the highest point in Dorset). Owing to it being midwinter, the bare trees gave way to stunning views across Thomas Hardy countryside and down to the Jurassic coast & the sea. Absolute bliss.

"Christmas in Lambrook"
_____
6 of us stayed in Lambrook cottage with a cat and a dog. My son stayed in Gardner's Cottage with his cat, just one minute walk away, as the animals needed to be separate! There was plenty of space for the 7 of us. The cottage was very well equipped with quality bedding, towels and kitchen equipment, everything we needed to produce big Christmas meals. There was a lovely welcome pack in each cottage. Both were very warm and both had Christmas trees, very welcoming. Lambrook cottage has a large enclosed garden which was great for the dog. The views from Lambrook Cottage are lovely, it was so peaceful. The owner came to introduce himself and helped to light the cosy log burner. Just 20 minutes ride from the beach where we had a lovely walk on Christmas Day. I would definitely recommend Laverstock Farm.
