Herdwick Hut is a traditional shepherd’s hut in a private location at the end of the woodland walk which offers countryside views. The hut has a cosy double bed, table with stools and is heated by a wood burner. There is electric lighting and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen shed has a generous supply of crockery, cutlery and pots and pans. There is a two-ring electric hob, kettle, fridge, barbecue, and fire pit are available for cooking. Water is provided in the hut kitchen. There is a shared washroom located approximately 100m from the Hut up at the farm with a walk-in shower and WC. The washroom also has a small kitchen unit with a sink and draining board for washing up and there is a washing machine for guests to use. • Check in is from 3pm and check out is at 10am.
• All bed linen is provided (including t-towels) with fresh towels provided in the washroom daily for guests.
• Well equipped kitchen shed for self catering, including crockery, cutlery and pots and pans for 2 people.
• There are electric plug sockets in the hut and kitchen shed for charging appliances.
• You can drive down to the Hut to park your car although this is weather dependant.
• We welcome dogs to stay (a maximum of 2) and there is an additional charge of £25 per dog per stay. Dog rules apply.
• Ideal for single occupancy and couples, it is not suitable for infants or children. Strictly no children.
• A weber barbecue is available to use but please note no charcoal is supplied and must be cleaned after use.
• A firepit is available to use and wood is provided.
• Communal games room available for all guests and walking maps are available.
