What happens if West Dorset is in a local lockdown or England is in a National Lockdown when we are due to travel?
During all West Dorset lockdown periods we have been offering all guests the choice of a full refund or a credit note for a stay at an alternative date. Should we have to lockdown again then we will continue with this. We want to reassure you that your money is safe.
What happens if I cannot travel due to a local lockdown or tier restrictions in my area?
If we are open but you cannot travel to us due to restrictions in your local area then we will offer you a credit note with no expiry date and the chance to reschedule your stay. We will try to rebook your property and if we are able we would then be able to offer you a full or partial refund with a credit note making up any difference. Unless we have agreed otherwise when you book, this decision will be based on any local lockdown restrictions in the postcode of the person booking the property.
What happens if my booking is affected by the ‘rule of six’
If the rule of six applies and your group size for a single property exceeds six we would ask that you continue with your stay with a reduced party. If this is not possible and you wish to cancel your booking we will try to rebook the property, and if we are able we would then be able to offer you a full or partial refund. The amount of your refund will depend on the amount we were able to rebook your property for and we cannot offer you a refund if we are unable to rebook your property. Please bear in mind that the more notice we have will increase our chance of rebooking your property.
What happens if I have booked multiple cottages, or have booked a cottage at the same time as a friend/relative and now can’t socialise with people in the other cottage due to Government restrictions?
We understand that this is a frustrating situation to be in but if the numbers in an individual property comply with Government Restrictions then our standard terms apply. Should you wish to cancel, we are unable to offer a refund or credit note, but we will try to re-let the property. If we are able to relet the property we will then refund you the value we achieved for the new booking.
A member of my group is either unwell, has tested positive for Covid-19 or is in isolation and therefore unable to travel – what are my options?
In the situation we are not able to offer a refund, credit note or move you to a new date. We recommend that you have appropriate travel insurance to cover this situation.
I am due to pay my balance what should I do?
We require all guests to pay the final balance in line our standard terms and conditions.
Is Social Distancing possible at Laverstock?
Laverstock is perfect for social distancing with lots of open space in private gardens and communal grounds and many footpaths crossing Laverstock. We ask all guests to respect the National advice on social distancing.
